Owen's Easter Chicks

Owen's good friend, Abby, got him chicks for Easter this year. Actually, Abby had chicks given to her and Abby's mom tried to pawn them off on us! They had fun playing with them but Brooks refused to keep them. So we found the chicks a home on a friend's farm. Apparently getting your kids Easter chicks is a common thing to do in the south!

Dying Easter Eggs

We colored Easter eggs with the kids tonight. They had tons of fun. Most of Owen's eggs turned out brown because he wanted to dip them in every color. Ellie just wanted to take out the drying eggs and throw them. I think there are more cracked eggs than good ones! They made such a mess but it was worth it!

We went to see Aunt Hayley's new horse, Bella, at the barn. Owen saw a pony named Oreo and fell in love with it. The owner was nice enough to let him ride it and he had a blast. Ellie liked the pony but was more interested in the bread the owner gave her!















Ellie looks so peaceful when she sleeps that I
just had to take a picture. Unfortunately the
click of my camera woke her up and I could
have kicked myself! I need those few quiet
moments each day!
