This past weekend we went apple picking at Skytop Orchard in North Carolina with our friends, the Gentry's. The kids had a blast but we now have more apples than we know what to do with! Brooks thinks its about time I learn to make an apple pie!
This is Owen's best friend, Ryan Gentry. Owen and Ryan do everything together. They had a great time apple picking and they also went on a tractor ride. Owen and Ryan go to preschool together and Ryan is the son of one of my best friends in Greenwood, Regina.
For Owen's third birthday we got him a swing set. He loves it. His favorite part is the glider. And its nice because he can do that by himself! He is learning to pump his legs on the swing but he hasn't figured it out quite yet!
Ellison LOVES to swing. She would stay in the swing all day if I let her.
The is the fort part of the swing set (as Owen calls it). He likes to have picnics in it with his friends. It took Brooks an entire week to put the set together! Luckily it was a hit with Owen.
Lately when I feed Ellison she tries to grab the spoon from me. So I decided to let her have it and this was the result! She loves feeding herself but she needs a bath after each meal!
We took Owen mini golfing. He had a fun time but he had no concept of aiming the golf ball. He just wanted to smack it as hard as he could. And the sad thing is that he probably beat me!
Owen started preschool at Cheerful Cherubs last week. He goes Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9-12. He really likes going and has a lot of friends in his class. This week he learned the letter "A" and likes to show me things around the house that begin with an "A."
This is Ellison eating her first Oreo cookie. She loved it! We had to pry the last bits out of her little fist. Needless to say she ended up getting a bath afterward!
Owen has a new hobby - cooking with me. He would rather cook than do anything else. He is actually pretty good too. He can measure out ingredients, operate the mixer, and he is excellent and licking the beaters clean!
Brooks and I have 2 beautiful children - Owen is 5 years old and Ellison is 3 years old. I take care of them full-time and I also work as a nurse part-time. I work in both the Emergency Department and Outpatient Chemotherapy at a local hospital. I started this blog as a way for family and friends to keep in touch and watch our children grow.
